Definition of PBX Phone System

A PRIVATE BRANCH EXCHANGE (PBX) PHONE SYSTEM is an internal telephony network that allows for inexpensive calls within a company or organization. It is an efficient form of unifying communications within an office or network of branches. The PBX connects the private network to the Public Switched Telephone network (PSTN) for external calls. Specific outgoing lines are reserved for those calls. Internet Protocol (IP) PBX is the newest development in the industry. This is the same system but uses VoIP and software to make communication more streamlined and less expensive. Users of PBX systems have four options: PBX, IP PBX, Hosted/Virtual PBX, and Hosted/Virtual IP PBX. Bicom Systems offers an IP PBX phone system in the form of PBXware. We offer three different editions to cater to specific needs: Multi-Tenant PBX, Call Center PBX, and Business PBX.

  6. One example of PBX is the telephone system for hotel where a receptionist handles and routes calls from individual room. The entire crew and clients can exchange calls without incurring telecommunication costs. In other words, it's like having a mini telephone company at your hands.

  9. I believe all small business should have business phone service. If you are one or two employee company or in business where all your staff is on the road, then you don't really need a business line. Just get a Toll Free number and it will work on top of your staff personal cell phones. When they receive a call, it will indicate that it is a business call on their call display so they can answer it professionally. All your staff can have their own professional voicemail system. You can monitor how many calls are answered and missed. I have been usingbusiness phone service from telcan. Check them out at: Check out Check out voip pbx
